In a 9 x 13 inch baking pan combine all of the ingredients except the chicken and mix. Add the chicken on top and baste with the liquid.
Bake uncovered, stirring once, until chicken is cooked through and liquid is reduced, about 45 minutes. The final result should not be soupy.
Serve with tottillas.
The baking time varies. After making this for a number of years, we reduced the amount of broth to half a cup with good results. Since this was originally a Weight Watcher's recipe, it doesn't include adding things like sour cream or cheese to the final product.
